Fiona Scarry works on curations of mid century and contemporary art and design. Interested in the scenography and context of space, she specialises in furniture from the 1930s to 1970s, Brazilian, Italian and French Modernism, as well as Modern and contemporary artworks.

She studied History of Art at University College of London and drawing at the Slade.  She gained there a sense for research, and a strong feel for visual and sensory environments.  This led her to an interest in set design which was the beginning of her passage into art and design for interiors.  Research enriches and informs her visual knowledge and imagination.

Based in Paris, Fiona lived between New York, London, Venice and Gstaad. Her international nature and network feed her cultural and visual sense. Her experiences as a creative consultant over the past 10 years led her to a desire to create concepts and conceive spaces within unique collaborations, developing client ideas and nurturing relationships.

After 10 years in fashion and film as a stylist, she worked for set designer Patrick Kinmonth on his ballets and opera productions. She followed this by working for interior designer Rose Uniacke. In 2013 she ran the French gallery Dutko of Art Deco and 20th century furniture which opened in London’s Mayfair. This was followed by working for London members clubs 5 Hertford Street and Oswalds, as a creative consultant.

Fiona had a first curatorial and selling exhibition in Paris in July 2022, the first of a series she entitles, Mise en Scène: France - Brazil XXth century Modernism. Presenting her eye and aesthetic, elegantly modern, she creates studied presentations of environments, furniture, artworks she likes to think of as environments of leisure.
