ABOUT

Fiona Scarry is a curator and dealer of art and design, specialising in mid-century furniture alongside modern and contemporary art. With a deep interest in the scenography of interiors, she curates thoughtfully composed environments that draw on a rich tapestry of styles and eras—particularly Brazilian, Italian, and French modernism. Her discerning eye for line, perspective, color, and texture, brings each space to life with refined elegance. The resulting interiors are both studied and expressive environments of leisure.

Inspired by the intersection of art, architecture, and sensory experience, Fiona is currently developing a series of site-specific art interventions and performances within iconic landmarks of Brazilian modernist architecture. The first in this series debuted in January 2025, with an exhibition by sound and audiovisual artists Soundwalk Collective at Mendes Wood DM in São Paulo, set within the modernist villa Casa Iramaia.

Fiona studied History of Art at University College London and drawing at the Slade School of Fine Art, where she cultivated a deep appreciation for aesthetics, historical context, and visual research. This academic grounding sparked her journey into art, design, and interior curation. Now based in Paris, Fiona has lived in New York, London, and Venice. Her international background and extensive cultural network contribute to her distinctive visual sensibility. Over the past decade, she has worked as a creative consultant, crafting spaces and concepts through unique collaborations, nurturing client relationships, and bringing ideas to life.

Fiona’s multifaceted experience informs her singular curatorial voice. After a decade in fashion and film as a stylist, she collaborated with renowned set designer Patrick Kinmonth on ballet and opera productions. In 2013, she directed the Galerie Dutko in London, specialising in Art Deco and 20th-century design. She later worked with interior designer Rose Uniacke, followed by a creative consultancy role with Robin Birley on his London private members’ clubs, 5 Hertford Street and Oswald’s.

Relocating to Paris in 2021, Fiona launched her first curatorial and selling exhibition, part of her ongoing series Mise en Scène. The debut instalment, France–Brazil: 20th Century Modernism, marked a significant step in her independent practice. In 2023, she collaborated with architect and interior designer Isabelle Stanislas, sourcing art and design for her interiors and contributing to her line of bespoke editions. She subsequently partnered with landscape architect Milan Hajsinek, for whom she still curates and sources outdoor sculptures, thoughtfully integrating contemporary works into private parks and gardens, carefully selecting works that harmonise with the natural landscape while elevating it through thoughtful artistic dialogue.

Today, Fiona continues to curate and advise private clients, bringing forth a singular vision, with an instinctive sense of refinement and imagination.
